Warner Bros. will release a new Lord of the Rings movie in 2026. It will focus on the character of Gollum, who was memorably portrayed by the British actor Andy Serkis in the film trilogy from the beginning of the century.

Those who miss the handwriting of the director of the original films, Peter Jackson, need not despair. Jackson and his partners will produce the film.
The project is still in the early stage of script writing. The working title of the film is “The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum”. More information about the story has not yet been published.
Warner Bros. already announced in February that it will produce more new films based on the works of JRR Tolkien, but the exact number is not yet known.
