Similar to the new stops at the post office or Družba, these will also be coordinated with the graphic visuals of the city. “We have already chosen the places. They should be at Luna opposite the store, in Plešivecká at the intersection with Raisova Street and Masaryková Street near the elementary art school,” the city’s deputy mayor, Jiří Adámek, said, adding that there are several possible forms in the proposal.

In addition to the construction of new stops, the city will also focus more on the endless fight against graffiti, with which some stations are constantly painted. The city’s technical services will take care of the cleanliness of the areas on an ongoing basis, they have a new machine available for this in their vehicle fleet. At other stops, structural repairs, painting and addition of fillings will also take place. “Where possible, they will be glass, others plastic, with higher resistance to UV radiation,” added Jiří Adámek.

In the future, the stops should also have a new information system with the names of specific stations and electronic panels, from which passengers will know exactly where the bus is and when it will arrive. The financial burden remains a question. It is possible that all stops will be staffed in this way, but also perhaps only the busiest ones.

Currently, the city is preparing to submit an application for a subsidy and process project documentation. “We’re reaching out to companies to get an idea of ​​pricing, as well as the best way to power the system. Then we will decide whether we will take this step all at once or gradually in stages,” explained Jiří Adámek.
