The patrol noticed the suspicious car in Bílovice nad Svitavou. The 47-year-old driver behind the wheel first declared that he was an “old drunk”, and when the police informed him how much he had inhaled, he was innocently surprised: “You vogo, I was driving the car.” He then admitted to the police that he had been drinking beer and vodka all afternoon.
“Since he was unable to stay on his feet and had to sit on the ground during the check, he went to the detention center to sober up,” stated police spokesman Bohumil Malášek.
A similar scenario took place on Wednesday afternoon in Hodonínsk. There, the patrol stopped a car whose driver was not wearing a seat belt. Immediately upon first contact with the 45-year-old man, it was clear to the police that he was under the influence of alcohol. The device showed a value of 3.13 per thousand.
“An even tenth higher value was breathed in during the evening inspection in Břeclav by the driver of a Ford passenger car of the same age. During the inspection, he made no secret of the fact that he had been drinking alcohol for a long time. On the contrary, he understandably did not brag about the fact that he does not have a driver’s license,” Malášek added.
