Coffee around the world: How do we prefer to drink it in the Czech Republic, and what about Italians and Greeks?

The results of the most popular methods of preparing coffee in 42 countries of the world were published by the Daily Mail server and are based on the findings of the Coffeness blog. After evaluating searches for a total of 21 types of coffee drinks on the Internet over the past year, it came up with clear winners, with terms in both English and the country’s official language included.

Cappuccino easily won the golden rank at the world level. It won in a total of 24 of the 42 countries where the relevant results were evaluated. It is the most popular coffee drink in Albania, Belgium, France, Hungary, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Romania, Spain, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, the Bahamas, India and Singapore, among others.

It consists of three components in the same ratio – espresso, hot milk and milk foam. For example, in Italy, cappuccino is only drunk in the morning, ordering it later is considered a faux pas.

A small strong coffee with a high caffeine content is especially popular with those who need a quick “kick” of energy. Its beauty lies in its simplicity, all you need is coffee and water. But success mainly depends on the details. The basis is quality freshly ground coffee, the correct temperature and pressure of the water in the coffee machine. The small cup should be heated to keep the intense drink warm.

Espresso is most loved in Germany, Iceland, Greece, Canada, Pakistan, Egypt and the United States and seven other countries.

Classic black coffee ended up on the bronze bar. Kafe, for the preparation of which you need coffee and boiling water, is most popular in Bulgaria, Israel, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. In total, it is number 1 in coffee shops in 12 countries. This includes drip coffee, the so-called Turk, as well as instant coffee condemned by experts, etc.

Americano, simply hot water diluted espresso, finished fourth, which was the most sought after in Italy, Argentina, Costa Rica, South Korea and Uruguay (10 countries in total). The fifth is mocha, which is created by combining coffee, milk and chocolate or cocoa. It is often served with whipped cream especially in Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Japan, Mauritius, New Zealand and Vietnam.

They search for the most Czechs, but also Qataris, Poles and Danes? Flat white, which is actually a double espresso with one part whipped milk and microfoam. It comes from Australia and New Zealand and is especially popular with cappuccino fans, who appreciate the smaller amount of milk, but a significantly stronger coffee taste.

It finished in sixth place along with latte (eg Brazil), Irish coffee (Ireland, Finland and other Nordic countries), macchiato (Australia and the UK) and iced coffee (Nicaragua and Chile).
