From Friday, April 5, 2024, the planned repair of the highway overpass near the Olomouc part of Nemilany continues. In the first days, the new road markings will be installed during traffic with one lane in both directions in the 1+1 mode, then until July, traffic on the D35 highway will be conducted in a smoother arrangement of two lanes for each direction of travel (2+2 mode). The change is identical to last year, when the opposite direction was corrected.
This year’s reconstruction of the left half of the overpass (direction from Ostrava) copies last year’s work, for example, the complete replacement of the road surface, equalization of the height differences of the supporting structures, the builders will also provide anti-corrosion measures, lay new insulation, including the provision of repairs to cornices and safety devices. Part of the roughly half-yearly schedule includes new bridge closures, bearings, cables and markings.
Of the six participants in the public tender, the construction company IDS – Engineering and Transport Construction Olomouc was selected as the most advantageous offer. The price agreed in the contract amounts to approximately 111 million CZK.
