According to the spokesman, the man traveled to cook drugs in various cottage areas in the Central Bohemia region and often changed places so as not to attract attention. The police found out that he doesn’t have a permanently set up kettle anywhere, but always has everything packed in two large travel suitcases. “The man was arrested when he was about to sell two grams of meth in front of his house in Vokovice, Prague, but he didn’t have time to do so,” said the spokesman.
During a subsequent search of the house, detectives found a secret basement room that was hidden behind double wardrobe doors. Inside, they discovered more than 20 grams of meth ready for sale and other drugs such as ecstasy, LSD and lysocephalus hidden in a wall clock. “The detainee had them ready in his backpack over two and a half thousand tablets containing the precursor pseudoephedrine, from which he manufactured the drug, as well as a number of forged documents. In addition to identity documents with his photo from the countries of France, Romania and the United Arab Emirates, he also had a forged ID for a physically disabled person, which allowed him to commit a number of traffic violations,” added the spokesperson.

The detectives accused the man of committing the crime of illegal production and other handling of narcotic and psychotropic substances and poisons, for which he faces up to five years behind bars if convicted. However, according to the spokesman, the upper penalty rate will most likely increase to ten years after the seized tablets are reviewed to determine how much of the active substance they contain. The accused is being prosecuted in custody, he added.
