According to Mayor Marko Hrvol (ProMOST), the municipality found out about the stoppage of all investments at the moment when it selected a contractor for the project to improve the facilities for visitors in the form of cascades and sunbeds around the playground.

“We received information that the state enterprise does not agree with this, nor with any other constructions. The development of the locality is therefore stopped until settlement,” said Hrvol.

According to Hana Volfová, the spokeswoman for the state-owned company Diamo, the reason for the rejection of the project is the fact that the construction without the corresponding property settlement of the land in question will become part of the property of the state, which is probably unacceptable for the city.

Land appreciation would increase its price.

“We recommended that the construction be carried out only after the property law settlement of the entire area of ​​interest of the lake,” Volfová told Novinkám.

“Given that the deadline has already been postponed several times, we consider property settlement a priority, which we are intensively working on. Currently, the administration of the property settlement of the entire area of ​​interest of the lake has been started,” added the spokeswoman.

According to her, the state enterprise does not want to hinder the development of the given territories in any way. “On the contrary, he proposes to focus primarily on the property settlement of buildings and land, so that the location, buildings and land have a clearly identified owner,” emphasized Volfová.

The management of the Bridge perceives the fact that they will have to pay for the land where the old town once stood as an injustice. “Unfortunately, we expect that we will have to pay for something,” admitted the mayor.

According to Hrvol, specific prices will be known roughly in the middle of the year. The subject of the paid transfer will be the area covered by the already processed territorial study of the southern part of Lake Most.

Its central point is to become the relocated Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, which is a symbol of the liquidation of the old royal city. The study envisages the gradual construction of a residential area for several thousand people.

It should be built in stages. Together with residential buildings, parks and facilities for new residents will be created. The study also includes plans for a parking lot with spaces for up to 520 cars. The creation of a new district is expected within a decade.

The biggest event at the lake this year will be the Olympic Festival, which will take place from July 26 to August 11. A sports field and facilities for visitors will be built here. However, none of this will remain at the lake after the festival, as originally expected by the municipality.

“All structures built as part of the Olympic Festival are temporary structures, and after its end, the borrowed land must be returned in its original state of use,” noted Volfová.

The area administrator began filling the Ležáky quarry pit in 2008. The flooded area covers an area of ​​309 hectares and the maximum depth is 75 meters, making it the deepest and one of the largest in the Czech Republic.

Thanks to the composition of the fish population, the water here is very clean and characterized by a high transparency of up to eight meters. It is therefore suitable for diving.
