UHERSKOHRADIŠTSKO – A 23-year-old man who sold fake tickets to various events in bulk can spend up to five years behind bars. In this way, he defrauded around five hundred people and earned more than a quarter of a million crowns.

Since 2022, the young man has been responding to requests for tickets to various cultural and sports events on internet portals. However, after paying the required amount in advance, he sent fake tickets to the interested parties.

Some counterfeits were detected by buyers immediately. The others discovered its inauthenticity only when it was presented at a specific event.” reported police spokesman Radomír Šiška.

The man continued to communicate with the victims and even returned the money to some of them. “The number of cheated people is currently more than five hundred. In the manner described in this way, he enriched himself by more than a quarter of a million crowns,” continued Šiška.

The accused man, who is currently in custody, faces up to five years behind bars for the crime of fraud.
