The packed hall of the Pilsen House of Music deservedly rewarded the breathtaking performance of jazz singer Nicole Zuraitis with long applause. During her concert, most of the songs from the album How Love Begins, which was announced as the best act in the Best Vocal Jazz Album category at the recent 66th Annual Grammy Awards, were also performed. Her performance was preceded by an impressive concert by the jazz duo Mirka Novak & Kristina Barta.

Already within the first few songs, Nicole Zuraitis demonstrated a unique ability to combine instrumentally rich compositions with dazzling vocals, personal temperament and charm. Few performers can improvise so well, communicate casually with the audience and at the same time repeatedly involve them in the program. In the final part of the evening, practically the entire representative hall of the Pilsen Conservatory sang. Nicole Zuraitis in Pilsen unequivocally confirmed that her concerts are unforgettable experiences. It is no wonder that in December 2022 she managed to sell out the famous New York club Birdland eleven times in a row. In addition, he regularly performs in other renowned New York jazz clubs such as Blue Note and 55 Bar.

“I am convinced that this year’s Grammy Award was not the first and certainly not the last music award that Nicole Zuraitis received. We all enjoyed her concert and it was a great honor for us to convey a similar experience to the Pilsen audience,” said one of its organizers and representatives of Jazz without Borders, Vladimír Vondřich, immediately after the end of the concert.

At the Pilsen Conservatory House of Music, the recent Grammy winner performed in the following concert line-up: Nicole Zuraitis (USA) – keyboards, vocals, Martin Gerla (CZ) – double bass, Ladislav Nič (CZ) – drums.
