Until Saturday, May 4, a traditional music festival takes place in the center of Prague, including the territory of our district United Islands of Prague. During it, a special tram stop “Europa” operates on the Legií bridge, which visitors can use on their way to Strělecký ostrov. On Saturday, May 4 the Legií bridge will be completely closed to car traffic, as well as the adjacent section of Janáček nábřeží from Vítězná street to the Jazz Dock club.
We would also like to point out the traffic restrictions related to Prague International Marathonwhich takes place on Sunday, May 5. The prestigious race starts on the Old Town Square, but his route will also lead through Prague 5. Communication where the competitors will run will be at the time of the race closed to all traffic. Traffic will be managed by the Police of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Municipal Police of Prague. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. will gradually close and open streets and intersections along the race route.
Competitors will run on the territory of Prague 5 across the Jiráský and Palacký bridges, Zborovská street, Svornosti street, Strakonická street, and further across Hořejší and Janáčkovo embankments and Legií bridge. According to the organizers’ estimate, there should be closures in our district from approximately 9:15 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. (according to the first and last competitor).
It is available for free until Saturday, May 4 traffic-information line 800 165 102 (from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.). On the day of the race, i.e. Sunday, May 5, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. it will also be possible to use the line 800 100 991.
