I believe that I can help raise TOP 09 preferences. And to lighten things up a bit, the University of Silesia has the initials SU as superman. Of course I will try to help TOP 09.

Will you monitor the number of likes and followers on social networks so that the party leadership does not read it to you?
I think it’s not about likes or followers, but about how we manage to transfer the necessary information to society so that ordinary people know why we put money into science and research and why science and research are so important for the Czech Republic important.
How do you want to do it differently than your predecessors? Do you want to be more on social networks like Tik Tok?
I will definitely not be on Tik Tok.
What do you want to complete after Helena Langšádlová and what new things do you want to promote?
I want to increase the budget for science and research, to complete the law on science, research, innovation and knowledge transfer. I want to help the Minister of Education complete the law on universities, because as a former rector I know how important it is. I also want to follow up on issues that were discussed with the Ministry of Social Affairs, such as the inclusion of doctoral studies in retirement. I want to arrange interest-free loans for doctoral students who go abroad for study stays. Because I know that some students from the University of Ostrava, who now want to go to the University of Paris for their doctoral studies, have trouble finding adequate housing there.

Minister Langšádlová found it difficult to obtain additional money for science within the budget. You want to take advantage of the fact that you are friends with Finance Minister Stanjura.
I wouldn’t say we’re friends. The minister serves on the Board of Directors of the University of Silesia, but that does not mean that we are friends who go out for a beer together. But I take it that I am not completely unknown to the minister.
And how will you want to increase the budget, because Minister Stanjura does not want to spend more money, on the contrary, he wants to save it?
I must not even hint at this, because I am not yet a minister, but so far only a candidate. Ask me when I become that minister.
How will you want to do it?
I have experience from the time when I was rector of the University of Silesia and when I moved the university forward.
Part of the consolidation package is that some remaining research institutes will be abolished.
As far as I know, an analysis of how those research institutes work has been developed, and I haven’t read that analysis, so I can’t say now.
