In the 24th round of Division E, Holice players, who were in dire need of points, hosted the table leader from Strání on their pitch. And for the entire first half, they were able to resist the unpleasant play of their opponent. In the end, unfortunately, he decided his own goal, which was unfortunately scored by the most experienced player in the black and white jersey, Roman Vejvoda. The final result is 0:3, and Olomouc will still have a lot to do until the end of the season.

“We all know how the Side is played. The gain is always followed by a long ball up, where it bounces either into the car or into the corner. From there it flies to the gate. They play this over and over again. We knew that, but today it was extreme on their part. I really didn’t expect that. There really was no interlude in that game of theirs. But they can afford it, because they have a well-made team for this way of playing,” explained the disappointed Holic coach Petr Večeř after the match.

At the same time, his wards have nothing to be ashamed of. They created several chances and hints, but they paid for what caused them the biggest problems throughout this and last season – productivity in the end. It was goalless at the break.

However, it didn’t even last three minutes after the change of sides. After one of the crosses, the experienced Roman Vejvoda unluckily knocked the ball into his own goal. Olomouc were therefore forced to open the game, and in the very end, the best scorer of the entire competition, Luboš Miklovič, established himself twice.

The Holicians thus lost for the second time in a row, and in the last four matches they scored only one point for a draw with Holešov. They have already dropped to twelfth place in the table with only a four-point lead over the last Přerov and only two points ahead of the penultimate Skaštice. Fourteenth-ranked Všechovice can still leapfrog them, as they have a playoff ahead of them and have two games to spare.

“We are soaked there just like any other six manchafts. Hell, it will probably go until the last round. Now we are going to Nový Jičín and we will have Šternberk at home, these matches will be quite crucial. We just have to mobilize as many forces as possible and seize it. Rather than football, it will now be about combativeness and morale,” concluded Petr Večeř.
