The ministry pointed out that the event of December 21, 2023 was used by conspirators to carry out attacks against Ukrainians or Jews. Among other things, the report stated that “prejudicially hateful attacks against Muslims, migrants, Roma, Ukrainians, Jews or the LGBT+ community continued to appear, especially in the online space.”
The report also states, among other things, that in connection with the shooting at the faculty, “at the end of 2023, there was a clear increase in pre-trial criminal activity against students or teachers of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, but also more generally against people with a university education.”
Prosecutors are paying due attention to the investigation of individual cases, the report states, and criminal prosecution has already been initiated in several cases.

As an example of a spread alarmist message, the Ministry of the Interior cited the claim that “the killer from Klánovice is a Ukrainian and the media is covering it up.” The police proved that in Klánovice, where a man and an infant were shot, the same perpetrator who later killed at the Prague faculty was responsible for the murders.
Fictional stories about the Faculty of Philosophy and connections to Ukraine were part of broader anti-Ukrainian and pro-Russian narratives. According to the authors of the conspiracy, these were intended to prove that Ukrainians commit crimes, are ungrateful to Czech citizens or sympathize with (neo)Nazism. Related to this was the follow-up message that “the West needs to stop supporting Ukraine and Russia can more easily carry out aggressive military operations.”
But there were, for example, alarming reports about “Ukrainians who drive around the city and kidnap Roma children for organs”.
