Roudnice nad Labem – Already this Saturday, May 11, the FÉROVA BREAKFAST is taking place – a picnic event to support growers in our country and around the world. This year, breakfast will be served at more than a hundred places in the Czech Republic – including Roudnice nad Labem.
A neighborhood event full of good food and recipes from local and fair trade ingredients is taking place in Josef Hora Park, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Breakfast is served in any weather – the organizers have party tents in reserve in case of rain.
“Come and sit with us, bring something small to taste or just come to get inspired for your next magic in the kitchen. Last year we had a truly blessed gathering and there were lots of spreads made from homemade or local ingredients, homemade bread, Fairtrade coffee and tea, chocolate or maybe gingerbread and other sweet treats to taste. Everyone is welcome and every recipe counts,” said the coordinator of MAS Podřipsko, Martina Smejkalová. For example, you can use fair trade cocoa, bananas or eggs from a local farmer in your recipes. There are no limits to imagination!

A fair breakfast to support growers around the world has been taking place in the Czech Republic since 2011, always on the second Saturday of May on World Fair Trade Day. The fair breakfast is organized by active individuals throughout the country, coordination is provided by the Czech non-governmental organization Fairtrade Czechia and Slovakia.
