“Our act of alliance today is not only an expression of solidarity between our nations, but also a strong signal that we are firmly committed to defending freedom and democracy at all costs. Let us today not only remember the heroes of the past, but also pledge to fight for a world where brutality and attack have no place and where every person can live in peace and safety,” Vybíhal said.

Around 200 members of the American National Guard, who are involved in the alliance’s Immediate Response 2024 exercise in the nearby Libavá military area, which began on Tuesday, commemorated the end of World War II with the soldiers of the local garrison.
