The prosecution of executor Igor Ivanko, who is accused of the fact that his office systematically did not pay money from debtors, also affects the companies he worked for.

The Ministry of Justice received the first request, according to which the largest domestic health insurance company demands that it pay damages in the amount of 10.9 million. This is the amount that Ivank’s office has not yet paid to the General Health Insurance Company (VZP).

“During the month of April, a repeated request for claiming compensation was sent to the Ministry of Justice. The Ministry of Justice should decide within a period of six months whether to pay for the resulting damage,” said VZP spokeswoman Viktorie Plívová.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Justice, Vladimír Řepka, confirmed that they had received the aforementioned request. “VZP’s request for compensation for damages related to the activities of executor Igor Ivanko is being registered by the ministry and has started an investigation,” wrote Řepka. He added that they have not yet received a similar request in this regard. Ivanko, who was released from custody a few days ago, did not comment on the case. He didn’t pick up the phone and didn’t even respond to questions sent.

Similar to VZP, the situation will probably be solved by others to whom Ivanko did not pay the money. One of them is lawyer Aleš Rozehnal. He told Seznam Zprávám that Ivanko owes him roughly 16 million. “I want to solve it in a similar way,” said Rozehnal.

The executor Ivanko also owes units of millions of crowns to the energy giant ČEZ, to whom, however, according to his spokesman Roman Gazdík, he will repay the money. For that reason, the company will not request compensation from him at this time.

The aforementioned request is not the only step that the VZP management has taken at the moment. In addition, he is turning to the courts to remove from Igor Ivanko’s office the remaining cases that he has not yet solved for this health insurance company.

For example, VZP submitted a mass application, which involves hundreds of cases, to the District Court for Prague 3. “The reason for the proposed change of executor is primarily unpaid performance, non-cooperation and loss of trust in connection with debt collection,” explained Miroslava Sixtová, spokeswoman for the District Court for Prague 3 .

She added that VZP has already accepted this court. In the resolution, the court wrote, for example, that the insurance company had been trying to solve problems with Ivanko for many years. “The authorized party (VZP ČR) has proven that since 2017 it has been trying to resolve problems amicably and has exhausted all means to correct the defects of the enforcement proceedings,” VZP spokeswoman Viktorie Plívová quoted from the court’s decision.

According to Sixtová, Kladno executor Andrea Říhová will now deal with VZP cases after Ivanka.

However, Ivanko is not only suspected of systematically not paying the money received from debtors. He is also being prosecuted because he did not separate these funds from his own income. The crimes he is accused of are punishable by five to twelve years in prison upon conviction.

In addition, the police also seized Ivanko’s land. At the same time, the police managed to block off more than 6.5 hectares of land near Mokrovrat in the Příbram region just shortly before Ivanko stopped this property. And that to the company Seminole Corp, from which he had previously borrowed an amount in units of millions of crowns.
