A new bistro in Olomouc invites you to try stuffed dumplings. With pastries and chocolate inside

People who head to the new bistro in the center of Olomouc can taste something different. In the so-called dumpling business, they can choose from several non-traditional salty or sweet fillings. You can choose from Bistro Knedlov, for example, a dumpling filled with sirloin on cream or pork pastries with cabbage.

The new bistro in Denisova street was named Knedlov, after the favorite dish of its operator.

“I have liked dumplings since I was a child, and at the same time I really enjoy cooking. I gradually got to the stage where I thought I could do it professionally. I had the idea of ​​my own bistro in my head for a long time, but now the time has come. It’s a dream come true for me,” described the operator Eduard Pekař, adding that it has only been open for a few days.

In a bistro with pleasant seating and a summer garden, it offers dumplings made from potato dough. This proved to be the most effective for him, also because the potato dumpling can be delivered to customers without any problems. Every day there are several varieties with salty or sweet fillings on offer.

“Our specialty is dumplings filled with pork pastries and cabbage. I have to say that it is my favorite of the salty fillings. A big challenge for me was the dumpling filled with sirloin on cream. I thought about it for a really long time, how exactly to do it. I’m glad that I gradually managed to tune it exactly according to my ideas. Chocolate is a favorite among sweet fillings, but we also have strawberry, blueberry or apple with cinnamon,” listed Eduard Pekař.

According to him, around eight types of dumplings should be on offer every day. More salty and sweet fillings will gradually be added, and occasionally the bistro will also serve dumplings made from yeast dough. Even vegetarians should come to their senses in time.

“We want to offer customers a meat-free option, for example spinach or dill sauce with an egg. We are also planning a gluten-free salty and sweet version so that everyone can choose from us. We rely on the quality of dumplings and fillings. We prepare everything ourselves, from pastries and sirloin to sweet fillings made from fresh fruit,” added the operator.
