And if you don’t want to watch hockey alone at home in front of the TV, there are several options in Klatovsk where you can enjoy a good atmosphere together with other fans. They will kick things off in a big way, for example, in Klatovský dvor, where there will also be an autograph session for hockey players at the start.

The ceremonial opening of the World Hockey Championship will take place on May 10 at 4 p.m., and at the same time you can also meet at the Klatovský dvůr restaurant, where hockey will literally be alive. A new association, Klátím sport, was also founded on the initiative of former and current athletes and enthusiasts in Klatovy. His wish is to connect people through the joy of movement, sports and watching professionals in various sports fields together. Now in ice hockey. “A large LED screen will be installed in the parking lot so that it can also be viewed from the terrace. We will expand the seating area and we will all enjoy a proper atmosphere. As part of the opening, there will also be an autograph session by Klato schoolchildren Radek Mužík, Adam Jiříček and Patrik Petruška,” enticed restaurant owner Václav Jandoš.

From 4:20 p.m. you will be able to watch the Slovakia – Germany match, at 6:00 p.m. the hockey players will arrive, followed by interviews and an autograph session, and from 8:20 p.m. it will start and the Czech hockey players will play their first game against Finland. You will be able to watch the entire championship there.

In addition to the Klatovský dvor, hockey will also live on in Klatovy in the Kräm wine bar, where they will open earlier for Czech matches.

You can also enjoy the hockey atmosphere in Sušice, namely in Sokolovn, where matches of Czech hockey players will be broadcast, and also in the restaurant Pípa a Vývrtka on the square. “We will have a big TV and since we received beautiful prizes from Plzeňský Prazdroj, there will also be a hockey quiz, so the fans have something to look forward to. Of course, we will prepare something good to bite into as well,” enticed restaurant operator Jan Skotnica.

There will be no hockey on Santos Island in Sušice this time.
