Although Guardian Angel has been operating in the Czech Republic for about 13 years, perhaps many people still have no idea that they could simplify their lives in this way. It is so?
Is it true. We have been operating since 2011, and yet awareness of emergency care is still very low. We are trying to reverse it in every possible way so that as many people as possible know about our service. Because then it will also help a much larger number of people.

Four fifths of our clients are seniors. Furthermore, there are disabled persons, or people after a long-term hospitalization in a hospital.

The guardian angel really offers the service that the so-called SOS button can guard us.
However, it has many other services in addition to the SOS button. The Guardian Angel is a registered social service of emergency care, it is a field service that operates remotely through a non-stop control room. It works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We watch people through monitoring devices. We currently have three types of these.

In the event of a crisis or deterioration of health, we are always available and help people stay in their homes. So that they don’t have to go to residential facilities.

Who exactly is this service intended for? And who uses your services the most?
80 to 85 percent of our clients are senior citizens. But we serve people from 18 to unlimited age. In addition to the main target group of seniors, these are mainly disabled people or people in a life crisis. By this we mean, for example, persons discharged after long-term hospitalization in a hospital for home treatment.

So the condition is that these people have to carry some kind of device to connect them to your emergency line?
Exactly. We currently have three types of such equipment.

The device is unique in that it detects a person’s fall immediately, in real time. A person is not in danger of waiting long hours for help.

Our flagship is the Tipec device. We developed this ourselves, it is our technology. It’s short for emergency care. This device has a built-in GPS, it also includes a SIM card, so it works wherever there is a mobile operator signal.

The device is mobile and works throughout the Czech Republic. At the same time, it also has an SOS button built into it, which the client presses in case of worsening health or any other problem.

And it is unique in that this device detects a person’s fall immediately, in real time. This is an excellent feature in that there are no fatal consequences if a person can lie down for hours waiting for help after a fall.

It’s a small box that clients carry with them.
The device can be worn on the wrist as a bracelet or watch. Or many clients, our grandmothers and grandfathers, wear it on a lanyard around their necks, where they have the SOS button hanging all day and available in case of need.

Of course, this device also needs to be recharged, we have a magnetic connector, so it is really very easy to handle. It’s not heavy and it charges just like a cell phone. So, for example, in the evening, when people go to bed, they place the device on the bedside table and turn it on to the charger.
