On Saturday, May 11, tourists will go here as part of the Rokycan marches or outside the chosen routes. An interesting program for the little ones is also prepared at the top.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Divoká Orlice prepared competitions for children on the way to the lookout tower (the start is at the lookout tower). From 1 to 3:30 p.m., the band Ahasver’s will play at the lookout tower, and at 2 p.m., an art competition will be announced, in which kindergarten and elementary schools from Rokycan participated. Refreshments are provided by the Loužek microbrewery.

It was completed in 2014 lookout tower at an altitude of 575 meters above sea level. After climbing 142 steps, visitors can see views of the famous Czech mountain range. The unique building is on the same site as the first lookout tower from 1895 (it lasted only fourteen years).

“The observation tower is an all-metal work, 28 meters high. The construction is in the shape of a cylinder with a spiral staircase. The viewing platform is 25 meters above the ground, i.e. at a height of 600 meters above sea level. In favorable weather, the visitor can see the peaks of the Brd, Šumava, Český les, Ore Mountains and Český středohoří. For better orientation, panoramic photos with labels of peaks and important places are placed in the soffit of the roof,” invites the mayor of Rokycan, Tomáš Rada.

Anniversary of the observation tower is connected with the 51st annual Rokycanské pochody event, organized by the Club of Czech Tourists. Ascent to the observation tower is possible individually or as a registered participant. You can sign up from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Triana meeting room (town hall courtyard). Each registered participant will receive a diploma and small souvenirs.
