In the first quarter of 2024, 0.6% of new arrivals took up accommodation in the Liberec Region, while the number of overnight stays decreased by 4.7%

In the 1st quarter of this year, occupancy in collective accommodation facilities in the Liberec Region increased by 0.6%, while the number of overnight stays decreased by 4.7%.

In the course of January and the current summer year, a total of 237,872 guests visited mass accommodation establishments in the Liberec region, i.e. by 1,450 guests (0.6%) more than in the first quarter of 2023. in January (+3,566 guests, +4.8%) and March (+1,075 guests, +1.6%), in Norway the total number of guests was 3,191 guests, i.e. -3.4%.

Meanwhile, only the number of foreign guests developed positively, their number increased by 6.2% to 49,568 guests. The number of domestic guests, on the other hand, decreased by 0.8% to 188,304 guests. Among foreign guests, 55.6% were tourists from Germany, another 22.0% were tourists from Poland and 5.4% were tourists from Slovakia.

A total of 745,481 nights were spent by guests in hotels, which was a 4.7% decrease compared to the first quarter of 2023. The number of overnight foreign guests increased by 3.2% to 160,099 nights. The average number of overnight stays of all guests was 3.1 nights, the average length of stay reached 4.1 days, and the same average length of overnight stays and stay was reached by house guests. The average number of overnight foreign guests was negligible and was 3.2 nights, the average length of stay then reached 4.2 days.

An increase in the total number of visitors was recorded in the first quarter of this year not only in the entire Czech Republic (+9.9%), but also in all regions. The exception was the Pardubice region, in which a 1.6% decrease in total fertility was reported. The lowest relative percentage was reported in the Liberec region, especially in the capital city of Prague (+16.9%). The region of Vysoina (+15.0%) showed the second highest percentage in connection with the biathlon world championship. The same situation occurred in the case of foreign countries, the number of guest poets in the total for the Czech Republic increased by 18.1%, among the 13 regions the figure varied between +3.7% in the Zlnsk Region and +34.2% in the South Region. In the Pardubice region, there was a drop of 3.7% year-on-year. The Republic’s number of domestic guests increased by 3.6%. This time, the indicator developed positively only in 9 regions, the lowest figure was reached in the Moravian-Silesian Region (+0.8%), the highest in the Vysoina Region (+12.9%). In the Krlovroč region, the number of domestic guests stayed at the same level as in the 1st quarter of 2023. In addition to our region, the number of domestic guests was also affected by the decline in the number of domestic guests in Steck (-2.4%), Plzeň (-1.9%) and Pardubice Region (-1, 3%).

The total number of overnight stays for the Czech Republic increased by 7.7% to 10,557,407 nights. In comparison, the value of this indicator was recorded by 9 regions, the highest figure was in the Vysoina Region (+19.7%). In the remaining 5 regions, i.e. in addition to the Liberec Region, in the Plzeň, Pardubice, Steck and Olomouc Regions, the poet Penocovna Meziron dreamed. The number of overnight non-residents in the Czech Republic increased by 17.2% to 4,917,127 nights, with foreign tourists spending the most nights in 12 regions. By region, the birth rate varied between 2.4% in the Olomouc Region and 43.9% in the Vysoina Region. The decline in non-resident penocavny affected Pardubice (-7.2%) and the Zlnsk region (-1.3%). The number of overnight domestic guests in the Czech Republic increased slightly by 0.6% to 5,640,280 nights. Only 8 regions showed a drop in this indicator, not least Karlovy Vary Region (+0.3%), most notably Vysoina Region (+15.7%). Six regions reported the number of temporary residents, of which 6% crossed the border in those regions (Steck, Libereck and Plzeň Region).

The largest number of tourists visited the capital city of Prague (1,570,172 guests, i.e. 38.1% of the national total of 4,115,944 guests). The second region was Krlovhradecky region (347,531 guests, 8.4%), followed by Jihomoravsk region (313,805 guests, 7.6%). The Liberec region was the 5th most visited region (237,872 guests, 5.8%). The highest average number of overnight stays was reported in the Karlovy Vary region (3.7 nights), so the longest stay was achieved here (4.7 days), the guest spent the shortest time in prisons in the South Moravian Region (1.7 nights, 2.7 days). .
