PLZEŇ – Late on Wednesday afternoon, a patrol of the Traffic Group of the Pilsen Municipal Police was monitoring speed compliance in Doudlevecká Street. After the fifth hour, with a measured section, where the maximum permitted speed is fifty kilometers per hour, the driver of a BMW drove past her. The radar showed a speed of 85 km.

The city police officers went after him and signaled him to stop with the help of warning and light equipment. But he completely ignored their calls, stepped on the gas pedal and started to drive away. At the intersection of Samaritská and Zborovská streets, he lost control, caused the vehicle to skid, then drove into the opposite direction, where he collided with another vehicle and subsequently crashed.

The officers stopped and one of them immediately rushed to the aid of the participants in the traffic accident, while ascertaining whether there were any injuries. In the meantime, the second called the components of the Integrated Rescue System of the Pilsen Region and secured the crash site until the arrival of the police. The reason why the twenty-four-year-old man was running away soon became apparent. Until November 2025, this man has been banned from driving all motor vehicles.
