According to Reuters, the Russian defense minister, whose country has been attacking Ukraine for over two years, made the threats during an interview with representatives of the Russian defense sector.
“In proportion to the threats posed by the United States and its allies, we will continue to improve the composition and structure of the armed forces and increase the production of the most popular weapons and military equipment,” Shoigu said. “We will increase the intensity of attacks on logistics centers and Western weapons depots,” he also said.
It is a reaction to the US military aid package for Ukraine worth 61 billion dollars (1.4 trillion crowns). Its approval in Washington is inexorably close after being passed by both houses of Congress. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that as part of this aid, Kiev will receive additional ATACMS long-range missile systems, and according to US officials, it will also receive ammunition stocks and air defense fighter jets.

Shoigu also stated during the meeting that Russian troops have taken the initiative along the thousand-kilometer front line in Ukraine and “disproved the myth of the superiority of Western weapons.”
The minister also repeated the Russian claim that in the last month Russian troops captured the villages of Pervomajske, Bohdanivka and Novomychajlivka. In the case of the latter village, however, the Ukrainians contradicted it on Monday, saying that 15-20 percent of the village still remains under their control.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also claims that Russian marines engaged in the fighting for Novomychaylivka seized Western-made weapons, including Swedish grenade launchers, American Javelin anti-tank systems and NATO electronic warfare systems.
