Shooter Moses remains in the Extraliga, but moves from Brno to the competition

American forward Steve Moses will add another after a successful premier season in the extra league. But not in Comet anymore. He will strengthen Mlada Boleslav, who announced his arrival on their website.

The 34-year-old bronze medalist from the 2015 WC in Prague and Ostrava was saddled with an elite domestic competition. After arriving from Finland, he recorded 58 starts and 36 points, scored 23 goals and added 13 assists.

“Individually, I was satisfied with my performances. Two years ago I had to miss almost the whole season due to a serious achilles injury and another year in Finland I still didn’t feel physically 100% right. But now I didn’t have any problems, I was healthy and I managed to score enough goals. I finally saw myself getting back to my pre-injury performance. I was very happy about it,” he recounts

Nevertheless, he decided to change, he travels from Brno to Mladá Boleslav. “It was a very complicated and long decision-making process. I made a lot of friends in the team, so it wasn’t easy to leave them. I also had a good relationship with the coach, I respect him and in general I would like to thank everyone in the organization, I enjoyed the season with them. But there were more factors that influenced it.’

“I felt that I could still play an even bigger role in the team than before. I was scoring goals and I believed I could play a little better. I want to get the most out of myself, so every foreigner should have that. We foreigners have to want to be better than the locals because that’s the only way we really deserve to play here. Coming to Boleslav is a big challenge for me and I’m really looking forward to it,” explains the latest acquisition of the Bruslař.

“He should significantly replace Róbert Lantoši’s goals.”

“I have a good feeling from the talks with manager Ševec and I like the direction the club is going. It’s a great feeling to be a part of that revival and help take the team to a higher position than last season,” nods Moses, who will now head home to the United States of America and join the team in early August at the latest.

“I have a fitness coach overseas who knows me and my body well, and for me it’s the best way to prepare for the season. In addition, thanks to this, I will get some time to see my family, grandparents and acquaintances. As always, I’m already looking forward to the start of the new season,” concludes the team’s sixth revealed reinforcement.
