Offroad driving simulator MudRunner will also be released for virtual reality

--

The essence of car simulations is that you have to get from somewhere to somewhere as quickly as possible, MudRunner is quite different. This game is about navigation and choosing the right route in the difficult environment of the Nordic wilderness with an extremely difficult terrain.

We don’t have pictures from the VR version, so for the atmosphere, let’s take those from the original MudRunner. According to the trailer, the VR version will look much cooler.

Instead of flashy sporks, there are multi-ton monsters, which thanks to the sophisticated physics model, there is never a day of fun. The first part of this pinava series came out in 2017 and became a rather unlikely commercial hit, followed years later by the SnowRunner (our review). Soon, a new part created for virtual reality will also appear.

According to the trailer, it will offer significantly different graphics and less original content, but here you will be able to leave your vehicle to, for example, pick up cargo or hook up a winch. There will be eight vehicles with a fully interactive cockpit and several types of landscapes with dynamic time zones.

Unfortunately, only Meta Quest 2,3 and Pro are announced as the only supported headsets, all others are allowed. Like you, a PS VR 2 like this would need a decent game for a long time. I don’t know when MudRunner VR will be released at this time.
