He came to the UFC with a lot of potential to torment the top of the middleweight rankings, but he has hardly fought at all recently, and when he canceled his last fight, he was shown the door from the organization.

Makhmud Muradov has been living his dream for the past few years. The UFC is the ultimate goal for many fighters to reach, and he has managed seven fights there (4-2 and 1 no contest).

Unfortunately for the fans who followed Mach’s journey, he was most active when he started in 2019. Then the coronavirus pandemic came, several tournaments were canceled and the Uzbek fighter had a one-year suspension. He did not return until 2021, when he underwent two duels, followed by a second one-year break, then one duel, and then another one-year break.

Muradov battled adversity, but still believed that the UFC wanted to keep him under their wing despite his numerous health absences. After the last canceled match, even the leadership led by Dana White broke the stick.

“I received such a message as it came. I don’t know what will happen next, in short we ended our cooperation. I’m sorry it ended this way, but everything has a reason.” Muradov confided to Nova TV on Friday.

“They were probably upset that I canceled their last game, they put a lot of pressure on him, but I didn’t want to lose. They told me to go and show something, that they would quickly arrange another match for me, but I said that I am injured now and I don’t want to take any risks,” said the Uzbek beater who was released a few days after this conversation.

The journey through the highest MMA league in the world is thus over for Muradov, but the journey through mixed martial arts should still continue. All the fans are now deciding where Mach will land, most would definitely like to see him in the Octagon, but we must not forget that the Asian ONE FC was also interested in him once.

“I have three offers on the table and none of them are bad. Now I am holding a tournament in Uzbekistan on May 11 and then I will decide,” informed Muradov.
