Leaders of folklore ensembles, take the kids to the next Artistic Talk at the Cymbal for Teenagers, which takes place on May 7 in the cultural house in Veletiny.

Occasional musical groups made up of musicians from across the Uherské Hradiště district (members of CM Mladí Burčáci, CM Ohnica, CM Babica and many others) will be playing for listening. “The event is open primarily to folkloric youth aged 13-20, but we also accept passionate eleven- and twelve-year-olds,” invites young dancers and singers, Vlastik Ondra, who is very happy with the atmosphere of the talks. “Young people today can sing three or four sedlka songs from each village and that’s enough. There is a lack of leading personalities in front of the music, as well as this kind of bantering and petting singers to the point of exhaustion,” lamented Zdeněk Stašek. “Today, one dance from one village is no longer danced for half an hour at a time, because no one knows enough songs. There was even singing from mobile phones,” adds Jan Káčer. That is why the idea arose to organize “training” discussions at the dulcimer.

Art talks for teenagers are always fun. “The biggest excitement was caused by the model situation, when a foreign boy sings in a hall in a foreign village, claps and waits to see if some completely unknown beauty will come or not. So yes, acquaintances between the ensembles were also established,” Vlastik Ondra looked back after the last discussion.
