“An incredible challenge, a great opportunity,” says Kvěch, who has only known the GP atmosphere as a wild card so far. At the same time, he did not record any significant results in Prague at Markéta.

Now he feels a chance to advance in his career. A new chapter begins for him. He has a chance to start the whole season. The series starts on Saturday in Goričan, Croatia.

Last year, Kvěch finished fifth in the GP qualification, which finally secured him a season ticket for this year’s series, the pearls of which will once again be the races in Warsaw, Cardiff, but also in Prague at Markéta (June 1).

The former junior vice-champion of the world can look forward to battles with the biggest aces there. The title is defended by the Pole Bartosz Zmarzlik, the Swede Fredrik Lindgren or the Slovak Martin Vaculík and the Briton Robert Lambert will again be in the game.

The 22-year-old Kvěch will follow up on Lukáš Dryml, who ended the series as a regular actor in 2008. “It’s probably the wish of every competitor and some may not succeed in their entire career. At the same time, it also added a lot of work to me,” says Kvěch about the participation among the elite.

He wishes that this was only the beginning of the journey to something bigger, for example, to what Vaculík, a Slovakian who was once rising in competition in the Czech Republic, made his way to, who regularly completes the stages.

“It’s nice that I’m in the Grand Prix, but on the other hand, it’s clear that it’s really going to be a lot of hard work,” adds Kvěch, who has already started the season in the domestic extra league in Poland, where he defends the colors of Zieloná Góra.
