Spring Flora invites you to the Galaxy of Flowers at the Olomouc exhibition center

--

The author of the main exposition in the largest exhibition pavilion A is the renowned 36-year-old florist Jan Milt, who has a lot of experience abroad. “It is about fulfilling one of our goals. To establish cooperation with young and at the same time high-quality creators,” Eva Fuglíčková, director of the Flora Exhibition Center, told Novinkám.

“I tried to combine two disparate fields. I am devoted to space as a hobby, floristry as a livelihood,” Milt confided. Dominant in the exhibition called Galaxy of Flowers is the symbol of an ellipse evoking an orbit. In addition, one of the ellipses represents a spaceship.

“Space and flowers. Games with mirrors, light and darkness. Ellipses. And also views through the pavilion or the contrast between technology and nature. These are the cornerstones of this year’s main exhibition,” stated the florist.

Spring Flora has been the biggest national festival of flowers for decades.

Galaxy of Flowers also includes a cafe with a range of themed drinks and a large number of places to sit and relax. “The goal is for people to comfortably spend a longer time in the exhibit and enjoy its beauty,” added Milt.

There are also school presentations

In the annexes of Pavilion A, there is space for the presentation of domestic companies that deal with the flower trade on the Internet and in brick-and-mortar stores. There is also a competitive presentation of secondary schools, the Mendel University in Brno, as well as an exhibition of the Czech Horticultural Association, which also includes a grower’s advice center.

The exhibition Bonsai – art from another world can be seen by visitors in Pavilion E. It contains three Japanese gardens of different sizes made of stones, complete with a pond and planted with bonsai. The exhibition area is complemented mainly by deciduous bonsai trees. “Many were awarded at European exhibitions,” said the author of the exhibition, Josef Valuch.

Spring Flora traditionally attracts a large number of visitors.

He himself has a unique collection of bonsai in the Isabelia Bonsai Museum in the Old Town near Uherské Hradiště. “The bonsai he managed to collect are among the best that can be seen in Europe,” remarked Fuglíčková.

One of the most interesting exhibits now at the Olomouc exhibition center is, for example, a yew tree that is more than 500 years old. The exhibition also includes an accompanying program with bonsai advice. “In addition, we are planning a guided tour of our exhibition on Saturday morning,” added Valuch.

Visitors can enjoy an impressive combination of abstract paintings and flower arrangements in the Orangery in Smetana Sady. You can get inspiration in Pavilion G. In addition to agrotourism, tourist destinations in Jeseníky and Central Moravia are presented here.
