Russian missiles were aimed at energy facilities in the Dnepropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions, the RBK-Ukraine server reported with reference to the minister. “The device is damaged. The head of the shift was injured at one of the buildings,” said the minister.

The Russians attacked four of DTEK’s thermal power plants, severely damaging them, the server added, citing the company’s statement. Energy workers are working to eliminate the damage. According to the Ukrainians, this was already the 170th attack on DTEK power plants since the beginning of the war.

Another attack on Kharkiv

“Kharkov is under attack. The enemy is attacking the city. There are already several explosions,” announced the mayor. One of the Russian missiles almost hit a hospital with 900 patients and 250 employees, the mayor added later, according to the Unian agency. Only one person suffered minor injuries. The rockets also damaged several houses, power lines and water supply.

Russia has recently stepped up attacks on Kharkiv using missiles, cruise bombs and drones. They attack energy infrastructure and civilians. The US Institute for the Study of War (ISW) wrote this week that the Kremlin is conducting a coordinated air and intelligence operation to destroy Kharkiv and force local residents to flee.
