The hockey players of Pardubice were just polished misery. They deservedly lost the final

--

When the Třinec hockey players managed to turn around the unfavorable balance of 0:3 in the matches with Sparta, their self-confidence was incredibly strengthened. However, Pardubice went to the final with Třinec with their traditional rhetoric. Zero humility, big speeches to the media and exaggerated self-confidence. And we already know the result – Pardubice lost the final and Třinec is celebrating a well-deserved and well-earned title.

Events in the recent past speak volumes about Pardubice hockey and the nature of the players. Specifically, fire Václav Varadi, one of the most respected Czech coaches. He was able to turn Třinec into a winning machine that is still working. Dynamo owner Petr Dědek apparently promised himself the same thing when he hired the well-known coach. But the star players could not stand Varaď’s hardness and consistency. Information leaked to the media that things are not working in the Dynamo cabin and the players are affected by criticism of their performances. That’s why Varaďa was fired. Pardubice players apparently want to play beach hockey. However, this obviously does not apply to Třinec.

Not even the recently modernized logo has brought Pardubice the title yet

Dynamo’s current coach Marek Zadina vented his nervousness during this year’s final to the media. After the fourth final game, he came up with the fact that hockey expert Milan Antoš influences the events on the ice with his statements. That’s a bold claim, however completely fabricated and apparently the product of some hallucinations. Fortunately, these incorrect and unacceptable slanders did not go unanswered and the disciplinary commission rewarded Zadina with a fine of 75,000 crowns. It is also another reason why Pardubice did not deserve the title.

Třinec worked as a team

While Dynamo looked like a group of random individuals, Třinec seemed like a well-coordinated team all the while pulling together. And they lost key players. Gradually, Jakub Jeřábek, Martin Marinčin and finally Andrej Nestrasil dropped out. Třinečtí, however, were able to fully replace them. At the same time, they do not have such lucrative players in the club as Pardubice.

The Třineck Masaryk Cup for the winner of the extra league from one of the past seasons. If Pardubice does not change their approach, they will continue to dream about him

It’s not just the amount of money that determines the winnings

This year’s final of the hockey extra league is another proof that in sports it is not only money that decides, but mainly the attitude and character of the players. Billionaires, including Petr Dědek from Pardubice, are apparently not aware of this. If Dynamo wants to emulate the success of Třinec, who has now won his fifth title in a row, he will have to change his approach and probably some players as well. It turns out that big names and hundreds of millions are not always necessarily beneficial.
