Raids decided: Chomutov won the Chance League

The fifth final match of the 2nd league between Havířov and Chomutov ended in separate raids, in which the visiting Pirates succeeded. They can already celebrate promotion to the Chance League on Saturday.

The final match between the winners of the Western and Eastern Conferences is extremely even, for the third time in the series there was no decision in regular time and for the fourth time the game ended with a difference of only one goal.

This time it was in favor of Chomutov, who led by two goals after twenty-eight minutes in Havířov, but lost a promising lead and had to reverse the home turn only with skillful action.

Before the raids, the Pirates resorted to a non-traditional solution, because instead of Martin Altrichter, they sent Michael Petrásek to the goal. Coach Martin Pešout’s unusual move worked, as the experienced Petrásek caught all five Havířov raids. Chomutovský was the only successful executor

The Pirates are thus one win away from meeting their pre-season goal – they are seeking a return to the Chance League after four years. Meanwhile, they have spent two years in the county due to financial problems, are now in their second year in League 2 and their meteoric rise may culminate in Saturday’s promotion. Or will the series return to Havířov?
