Kevin De Bruyne, who scored his 68th Premier League goal but the first with a header, headed City to a clear win in the 17th minute without injured striker Erling Haaland. Phil Foden scored twice before the break, in the 26th minute after a run from a free kick and eight minutes later with a technical shot after a complicated play by the home team. In the 62nd minute, Argentine world champion Julián Álvarez sealed the score after Kyle Walker’s action.

Manchester City followed up on Saturday’s victory over Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals and scored at least four goals in the league for the fourth time in a row. In the Premier League, he became the fourth team to do it after Manchester United in 2000, himself in 2022 and Arsenal this March.
