Horava in Sparta ends, head coach Gross has received confidence for the next season as well

Pavel Gross has a new door and the loan will continue in the next season as well. During the last one, however, we knew that Milo Hoava would leave us after canceling his contract. He wants to take a break from hockey again for a while, said sports editor Tom Divek.

Forty-two-year-old Hoava has been working for Sparta since 2020. He could be replaced, for example, by Antonn Stavjaa, who admitted in an interview with Sport that he received a cooperation offer from Gross.

Around us is to preserve the continuity of the established work of both trainers. At the moment, coach Gross’ assistant is holding talks with a small circle of potential assistants, said Divek.

In the premiere season under Gross’s leadership, Sparta occupied the second place in the reserve team, in the quarter-final they defeated Liberec 4:0, but in the semi-final they failed against Tinci, the champion of the last season. Praan led 3:0 in the series, but they were unable to score the fourth loss and became the first team in the history of the extra league playoff to lose the series played in this way.

The disappointment did not last long. So I can’t bite on the last week of the playoffs. I thought it would take a long time. We know for a long time that the season ended in a big failure. But we have to try to think positively, take the good from the season and prepare as well as possible for the start of next year, said Divek.

In the course of the season, Praan signed contracts with half of the game’s key players, but now they are still working on the team. But leave, for example, Jan Buchtele, Jakub Konen, and even the reinforcements Josh Kestner, Stephen Harper and Nick Beaudin will not continue.

At the moment, there are many meetings and conferences about the composition of the song. I have selected a few reinforcements, but because of a bad week, we don’t want to break what we’ve been working on all year. So I know that we have very good quality. That’s why we have to choose the fuel, how to supplement it, added Divek, for whom it was the first season in Sparta.
