Currently, the third FORTUNA:LIGA team will continue to be managed by the successful coach Miroslav Koubek (72). “On Monday, coach Koubek will sign a new contract in Victoria, the agreement will be for one year,” says a Livesport News source who is well informed about the state of negotiations.
For many weeks, there was talk about whether the oldest coach in the Czech top flight would extend his engagement in Victoria. As for the results achieved, there was no doubt that the connection between the recognized coach and the West Bohemian club would continue to make sense. Experts appreciate how Koubek is able to prepare his charges from a tactical point of view. After all, he received recognition for this, for example, during the last international showdown in the Conference League with the Italian Fiorentina. “Coach Koubek’s masterpiece,” they wrote in Italy when they saw the futile effort of the team from Florence to gain ground. In the end, the Italian team advanced, but they really struggled.
“That Koubek would quit because of game matters or results was out of the question. If Plzeň had not extended the cooperation with coach Koubek after such a season, it would not have made sense.
