Next to Lenka Hlavatá, the pilot and head of the team, the navigator Nikola Verbičová had a sharp premiere. The crew bet on calm but constant driving and precise navigation.

“At speed, we certainly wouldn’t have a chance to beat these Dakar matadors, however, a long-distance rally entails a whole range of other variables that were reflected in the final result,” explained rider Hlavatá.

“After a difficult introduction in the very first stage, in which they started us without a fully functional roadbook, I soon got used to working with the devices and the navigation system and we became friends,” co-pilot Verbičová added with a smile.

A tactical ride earned the ladies in pink gold in the ladies cup. In the SSV Open 2.1 category, they were third in a competition of 15 cars, and in the overall order of SSV buggies they took the 26th position out of 43 cars that reached the finish line.
