Productive center Martin Šťovíček will remain in the Chance League after relegation with Znojmo, Slavia Prague presented him as a new reinforcement. The length of the contract was not disclosed.

Šťovíček collected 35 points (17+18) in the past year, finishing second in the Eagles’ team scoring and shooting table behind teammate Tomáš Svoboda.

In the productivity of the entire competition, he was ranked in the top fifteen. In addition, in the past he also convinced of his qualities in Chomutov or Třebíč, in whose jersey he even collected a respectable 46 points in the regular part of the 2019/2020 season.

To sum it up, it is a great boost for people who have been stitched together. “Martin is a hard-working striker who can play as a center or a winger. He is an all-rounder that we can use both in the offensive and defensive zone,” coach Aleš Totter is pleased.

For the 28-year-old striker, signing in Eden is a logical step, because he comes from Prague and went through the youth system in Slavia from the sixth grade to the younger generation. “I have great memories from there. I was already tempted to return to Prague,” admits Šťovíček in an interview for the website hc-slavia.cz.
