ZLÍNSKO – On Friday after ten o’clock in the evening, a tragic traffic accident occurred near Napajedel in the Zlín region, in which two passenger cars collided head-on. One female driver died on the spot, the other driver suffered serious injuries.
A forty-six-year-old woman was driving an Opel Corsa in the direction from Napajedel to Topolná.
“For reasons not yet determined, she swerved in the opposite direction on a bend, where she collided head-on with an oncoming Volkswagen Golf driven by a 44-year-old man.” informed police spokeswoman Monika Kozumplíková.
In the collision, the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the man was taken to the hospital by paramedics with serious injuries.
The road was closed for about four hours due to the accident investigation. Damage to both vehicles is estimated at 400,000 crowns.
“All the circumstances of this tragic event are being investigated by the Zlín criminal investigators in cooperation with the traffic police.” added Kozumplíková.
