Prague – Police officers from the anti-drug headquarters are prosecuting 14 people for importing drugs from Slovakia. Together with Slovak colleagues, they secured almost 100 kilograms of hashish, five kilograms of cocaine, methamphetamine and other drugs, as well as a laboratory for drug production, illegally held weapons, cars and cash. The main accused is a foreigner who supplied cocaine and meth to the drug market in Prague, Hradec Králové and Pardubice regions, and preparations with pseudoephedrine to drug factories in the Central Bohemia region. The police reported about it on the website today.

Among those detained are 11 Czechs and three foreigners. The police charged the members of the organized group with the distribution of drugs containing pseudoephedrine, as well as the sale of methamphetamine (pervitin) and cocaine. “Twelve people are in custody, two are being investigated at large. Depending on the seriousness of the crime, the accused face various punishments, some up to 18 years in prison,” the police said.

The main accused is a foreigner. Other detainees are suspected of further trafficking in imported drugs. One foreigner supplied a meth producer with substances needed for production, another prosecuted man produced meth, and two Czechs provided their real estate for drug production in exchange for the produced drugs.

During the operation codenamed Konor, police officers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia seized drugs, preparations containing pseudoephedrine, which are used to manufacture drugs, three illegally held handguns, a drug manufacturing laboratory, several cars, and 405,500 CZK and 25,945 euros. The event was preceded by a seven-month investigation.
