Since 2011, the city has started awarding its “Jablunkovské Jabko” award. This prestigious award is given as a sign of recognition to important personalities and entities whose activities have a clear time overlap and a close relationship with the city and region, personalities and collectives who participate to a significant extent in the cultural and sports life of the city of Jablunkov and contribute to its promotion and good name at home and abroad, to fill free time, especially for children and youth.

The prize is awarded to persons without age restrictions, so individuals and collectives, individuals and legal entities. The award may also be given in memoriam.
Proposals for awarding the award must contain mandatory information, namely the name and address of the nominated candidate, the rationale for the submitted proposal and the name and address of the proposer, and his signature.
