Prohibited substance in seasoning. WADA was silent about the positive tests of the Chinese swimmers

--

Twenty of these female swimmers found a prohibited item in their trunks before the last Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

haven’t you heard about it yet?

That’s because the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) postponed the whole event before Tokyo and let the races go to the Olympics without sanctions. The Ticetilen right-handed swimmer then won six medals in Japan, including gold.

The situation was brought to the attention of the American newspaper The New York Times in the past few days together with the German television ARD. According to their findings, a trace of trimetazidine was found in the bodies of the female athletes, i.e. the same as found in the Valiyevs before the Olympics in Beijing.

Just while the figure skaters were examined by WADA, the International Sports Arbiter CAS gave them a certificate of disqualification and took back the gold medals from the Russian team, but the swimmers not only did not receive a stop sign, but also because of the ban on flying, no one showed them.

In the case of the swimmers, WADA accepted the explanation of the anti-doping agency, according to which the positive tests were due to unintentional contamination. Traces of trimetazidine, which is part of the heart medicine, were found in the rooms and other equipped kitchens in the hotel where the Russian team was based in January 2021.

At the time, there were coronavirus restrictions, so WADA representatives could not go there and see the crash themselves. So they relied on the Russian parties. And the boy and his children were taken for St.

Back then, we didn’t have a reliable way to disprove the contamination theory, explained Ross Wenzel, WADA prosecutor.

Today, however, he would make the same decision. After the revision of the documentation, the agency firmly stands by the results of the scientific study and the first decisions, as stated in the press report.

According to WADA, there are no documents on the basis of which the Russian anti-doping agency could decide to question it.

Especially fail

It is a tragedy for all athletes, the president of the American Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) Travis Tygart assessed the situation in an interview with Reuters.

Finding out that WADA, together with the Russian Anti-Doping Agency, swept the positive tests under the carpet is humiliating, he said in advance of X. Those who had their hands tied during the burial of the positive tests must be held accountable.

WADA responded to Tygart’s words with a rambling defense of its decision and threatened him with absolution. I would really like to sleep here. It would be useless to get access to the emails in which there was an agreement not to comply with the rules and the whole matter of the pictures, he responded to Reuters.

Then on Tuesday, USADA called for steps in his name that would assure the world about the independence and responsibility of the anti-doping system after its major failures.

Revealed doping of female swimmers will cause an uproar in the world, not least because such a situation is far from over.

While in 1986 she took home seven medals from the world championship, in 1991 it was 13, and a few years later she won 28. At the same time, the number of female swimmers ahead of the world champion has not tripled. And that was great progress, even for a country as populous as the Podzele.

Between 1990 and 1998, tests revealed doping in 28 swimmers, but a scandal arose at the World Championships in Perth, when, during a routine baggage check, representative Jan Jan had enough growth hormone for the entire national team.

Two million dollars navc

The question of the reliability of our swimming was raised again after sixteen years, when in November 2014, the Russian media announced a positive test for trimetazidine in the Olympic swimmer from London, Sun Yang. This time too, Jene had a whole lot of fun.

Jang was supposed to have a bullet in his body at his native ampiont in May, and then undergo a dark destruction of activity, and after it expired, the Russian side of the media informed about the whole thing. Yang did not drink one day from the big international seductions and immediately avoided the international survey.

The Chinese swimmer Sun Jang celebrated his fourth gold in the 400-meter freestyle at the World Championships at the ampiont in Kwangdu.

The controversial scandal filled the party’s newspapers again six years ago, when he used a hammer to crush blood samples taken from him by an independent commission. He was threatened with a lifetime ban for violating anti-doping rules, and finally received an eight-year sentence from CAS in November 2020.

With the first written procedure in Jang’s case, WADA is now objecting to the fact that it was at the hands of the women’s side in the case of 23 swimmers before the Tokyo Olympics. But she did not add that in recent years, WADA has sent the team two million dollars in total, not what is required in Lensk fees for the state.

Charity, or a misplaced deposit?

Of the ten swimmers who took part in the Olympics in Tokyo, eleven will now take a place in Pai. However, despite public criticism, it does not seem that WADA wants to re-test or re-examine a positive athlete.

And that casts an unpleasant shadow on the last and upcoming games.
