It is probably no surprise that people of today’s century are living to old age more and more often.

Is it actually good, who would like to die after thirty or the chosen ones after forty?

But even in the past, people managed to live into their seventies. However, there was a difference.

Today, if one is obsessed with trying to figure out “how to live to be a hundred years old,” one can find “guaranteed tips and god forbid health advisor contacts” on the Internet. I have nothing against advisors, but do you think we really have to pay so much money for advice that we all actually know. I also know a few and will share them for free.

Tip number one: don’t overeat.

So it’s clear, whoever stuffs himself will get fat. If he gains weight, he won’t move and will be lazy. And it’s really not possible to return to the glory of an athlete out of laziness (let’s face it).

Tip number two: sweet is not the main meal, fat is not either.

So clearly, sweet food is not only tasty, but also makes you feel happy. Sweet food makes you smile more (I’ve proven it). You need fatty food for your brain, but that’s also nuts and they’re definitely healthier than an overcooked steak.

Tip number three: walk walk walk

There is nothing better than walking to the newspaper stand across the street. We teach children laziness since their school years, when we innocently tell them: “Come on, I’ll take you to school today by car.” It doesn’t matter that the school is only three hundred meters from the house, it’s just cool by car.

I might add that my grandfather used to walk to school two kilometers away in all weathers. He lived to be 85 years old. And I also walked 800 meters a day to and from school. I walked over a kilometer in high school and even a kilometer and a half in practice. In the summer I used a bicycle, in the winter my legs.

Tip number four: minimal stress.

Stress is bad luck in disguise that sticks to everyone’s heels from time to time. AND what doesn’t kill us does kill us will strengthen. Fear is also a form of stress and there are few resilient people. Stress can be corrected, and even those who are balanced look like complete “phlegmatics” on the outside. Why? Because they don’t seem to care. However, it is not as it seems, because those “phlegmatics” can simply let it go and not deal with stress. He harms everything and everyone. Anyway, a sentence like: “you’re a complete phlegm” is actually a tribute to a healthy individual. One has to realize what is important and what is a bit exaggerated.

An example of my grandmother who invites us to Sunday lunch and when we arrive it looks as if she wasn’t expecting us. She flies everywhere with a duster and screams in the kitchen that she is burning. In the end, the lunch is delicious, but she won’t forgive the remark:

“Well I could have done better. Next time I will make it with a different recipe”. These are stressful situations for the whole family, I don’t understand.

Tip number five: Get a good night’s sleep.

As they say, a healthy mind resides in a healthy body, but above all, a rested spirit. I don’t tell anyone to go to bed at seven. However, a certain bedtime ritual that calms the brain is balm for the soul. So the series you like. A favorite book or doing crossword puzzles will definitely be enough to distract your thoughts. Definitely don’t reach for your mobile phone and see what’s new on social networks or the Internet. This already leads, for example, to bad news, etc.

Tip number six: caress, love

Yes, this is also important, emotional manifestations help in releasing and replenishing happiness hormones. And it doesn’t matter if it’s a partner, children, dog, cat. Even a soft toy. Expression of love and cuddles helps and is the cheapest medicine for all stresses and troubles.

Tip number seven: A well laid out plan.

For some it’s crap and for some it’s what the day wouldn’t even start without. It’s really important to write down everything and organize meetings, important things and even free time. Not only does one avoid the pressure of how to do it all, but there is also a reserve of time in case something doesn’t work out or something happens. It is not unusual for a family, frequent illnesses of children or various phone calls from teachers. School events, etc.

Last tip number eight: time for myself.

If it’s even a little bit possible, time for yourself is important. In the form of a book, meditation, series, music, walking the dog or sports. It doesn’t matter, but the important thing is to take it as a time just for you.

By the way, walking the dog does not have to be just an annoying duty, it can be a pleasant moment with useful content. Listening to music in headphones and walking. Sometimes playing with a dog, a ball, a stick, and you won’t believe how quickly a smile will appear on your face and the dog will thank you, goof off and then have beautiful dreams.

My advice is not a recipe for longevity. Even the nutritionist won’t guarantee you this, but he will certainly get enough money from you. Even a fitness trainer will not guarantee you longevity.

One thing is for sure. These tips will definitely put your mind at ease and as I already mentioned. Healthy body healthy mind. And if the mind is fine, the body is usually fine too.

My grandmother lived through the war, her husband died quite early and she was left with a farm and two children alone. She didn’t work, what she grew, they lived on it. She stacked coal, chopped wood. She lived a normal life, walked to the store, didn’t have a driver’s license. And she lived to be 98 years old. She died of old age, and apart from high blood pressure and old-age joint pain, she suffered from nothing.

Imagine. You have a house, a car, lots of electronics and modern conveniences. And someone will come to confiscate it for you. And you won’t see it again. That’s stress.

This has happened in the past and no one has done anything about it. In our family, it happened that property was confiscated and they returned it only after the coup. The great-grandmother had a lot to do to prove that she was part of her family. And that would be really stressful.

So stress-free and cool. With money in the wallet. And it’s all about psychology.

It’s not easy, but it’s not complicated either. You must not succumb to emotions, fear and let yourself be thrown. There is always a way out in every situation, even if you have tried everything.

The thread we have in this world from birth ends somewhere. No one knows when it will be, so enjoy life as if it were your last.
