Renault Captur (2024): Czech prices, equipment, engine

--

Although it is “just” a facelift, the car has undergone a significant transformation. In the front, we will no longer find the traditional mask or light hockey sticks, the Captur set out to meet a completely new design concept, which is full of frills. The lamps at the back have also been modified, and in the cabin, Renault has removed all the leather, which is now being replaced by recycled materials across the range of equipment.

Customers have a choice of four engines and three trim levels. The basis is a three-liter gasoline engine with a modest output of 91 horsepower. Alternatively, the same unit combining gasoline and LPG can be purchased, the maximum output of which jumps to 100 horsepower. The four-cylinder is represented by a 1.3-liter mild-hybrid, which has 140 (manual) or 160 (EDC) horses. The Captur also gets a full-hybrid with a sixteen-cylinder supported by an electric motor that has 143 horsepower and promises a consumption of only 4.6 l / 100 km.

The entry-level Evolution comes with the base engine 475,000 CZK and includes 17″ steel wheels with flexwheel covers, full LED headlights, seven-inch digital instrument panel, 10.4″ multimedia screen, cruise control with speed limiter, steering wheel covered with synthetic leather or manual air conditioning.

Classic alarm clocks can no longer be found in the chapel, the size of the digital instrument panel depends on the selected equipment.

Techno variant (from 520,000 CZK) already has cast eighteen wheels, automatic air conditioning, a hands-free card, a driving mode selector, an induction phone charger or a semi-automatic parking brake. The middle trim is also the only one in which all available engines can be purchased.

The highlight is the Esprit Alpine, which costs a minimum 705,000 CZK. The reason is that only top-of-the-range engines are available in the given equipment – a thirteen-cylinder with an automatic or a full-hybrid. It gets nineteen-inch wheels, infotainment with navigation, a larger ten-inch instrument panel, floating center console, two-tone body design, front, rear and side parking sensors or adaptive cruise control with stop & go function.

In addition to the official price list, the Czech representative office of Renault also confirmed that those interested can already order the new product and that the first pieces will appear on our market at the beginning of the summer. Statistics from the Association of Automobile Importers show that the Captur is the brand’s second most sought-after model for 2023, only narrowly overtaken in the number of units sold by the smaller Clio on the same technical basis.
