The actress and singer Dagmar Patras, who is celebrating her 68th birthday these days, managed the seemingly incongruous. Not only was she one of the sex symbols of the eighties, but she was also the queen of children’s hearts for several generations. But then her life began to be full of scandals and embarrassments.

Aesthetic modifications are not prevented

If we compare photos from the time when The Visitors or Arabella were filmed, with those in which Dada is captured in the present, it is clear that she has undergone a considerable transformation. In short, time is inexorable and the actress will celebrate her seventies in two years.

In recent years, the public has been speculating about whether she has had plastic surgery or is aging naturally. The actress directly denies plastic surgery, she says that she has only had eyelid surgery, but other aesthetic modifications do not cause her a problem. For example, she underwent a facelift using absorbable threads.

In recent years, the actress and singer has not had it all easy and has been going through various difficult life situations and she has not been spared embarrassments and scandals.

She suffered a clinical death years ago after scheduled spinal surgery, which made her feel the full weight of how fragile life can be.

Three tragic losses

She had to deal with tragic losses before. In 2000, her mother Věra was hit by a car and she died on the spot. In 2001, another blow came when Patrasová miscarried the expected third child. She slipped on the ice. In 2003, she lost her father, who was being treated for Alzheimer’s disease, and he was diagnosed with a lung tumor.

A philandering husband

He is not completely happy in his love life either. She has been married to musician Felix Slováček since 1983, but it cannot be said that he always stood by her side. On the contrary, he exposed her to public humiliation many times.

For example, when he appeared at the same event as his wife with his much younger lover Lucía Gelemová. But it was far from his first love escapade. Patrasová allegedly knows about several mistresses that her husband had during the forty-one years of their marriage.

Divorce was said to have been on the table at least twice, but it never happened. Patras seems to have holy patience with her man.

No driver’s license again

But apparently he also has patience with her, because embarrassments and missteps figure on her side as well. In 2018, she was caught driving under the influence of alcohol when she caused a car accident. Although she contributed to the arrest of an internationally wanted man, they also measured 2.5 per thousand in her blood.

Patras was threatened with up to three years in prison, but in the end she got away with a fine and a driving ban for a year and a half. But she didn’t learn her lesson and drove under the influence again – in May 2022. She was again fined and banned from driving for two years.

She has a number of alcoholic escapades, when she appeared in public, to put it politely, quite socially tired, and her long-standing problems with alcohol are no secret.

The actress and singer is currently going through every parent’s nightmare. Her 28-year-old daughter Anička Slováčková is fighting cancer for the second time in four years.
