An interview full of tears! All my wishes came true. I would give my life for the boys, said the inconspicuous hero

After his defensive partners Kundrátek and Smith, he is the third player with the most minutes played in this year’s playoffs. This also shows how important a link Marian Adámek was in the Steelers’ journey to their fifth title. And it shows what she is a “dragon” force from Třinec.

When the team lost two key backs, Jakub Jeřábek and Martin Marinčin, it was Adámek who got “their” minutes and filled them brilliantly. Even before the start of the final, former coach Václav Varaďa praised him, and after the seventh game, Třinec matador Martin Růžička added: “Mája was great.”

Adamek is from Třinec, he first peeked into the league when he was seventeen as a teenager. But at first he paid a bit for the fact that he was no slouch, and there was a lot of competition in the Třinec squad. He made his way gradually. For example, during the first title from the winning streak, he played six games in the playoffs with an average workload of ten and a half minutes. Last year there were also six matches, but with an average of 15 minutes. This year already twenty, and in the seventh final he stayed on the ice for a total of 31 minutes!

“I don’t even know how I feel. I can’t believe it happened again. It’s a fairy tale, unreal. We kept thinking that we could do a second title next season, then a third, suddenly we have five. Hats off to everyone. We are a family here,” he gushed in an interview with O2TV Sport.

Even the more important role that was discussed probably fell on him. And so the emotions went out. “All my wishes came true. I have a healthy family at home, a son and a daughter were born, I have a wonderful wife. I probably don’t even deserve it, I don’t know who to thank for it.”

He and his wife Andrea were married four years ago, and now that she saw the TV interview, she wrote back on the X network: “Who has the best husband in the world? I! I’m going to get tissues.’

Adamek then continued towards his teammates: “I would give my life for those guys and I know they would for me. We will remember that for the rest of our lives.”
