Lando Norris made it. He took his first victory in Formula 1 in Miami.

Norris was helped by a safety car exit, during which he made a single pit stop while rivals lined up before the safety car exited. But the improvement of the car certainly helped him as well – he was the only one who got all the new parts in Miami. Piastri will only get them in Imola.

“It was about time,” Norris said after the race. “It took a long time, but I finally did it. I am very happy for my whole team. I finally made it up to them. Long day, tough race, but in the end at the top, so I’m excited.”

“The whole weekend was good. I just had some minor complications along the way. I knew we had it on Friday. We just made a few mistakes here and there, but we managed to pull it together today. We had the perfect strategy, everything paid off. Thanks to McLaren and everyone and I have to give a shout out to mum and dad.’
