On Tuesday, in connection with Friday’s terrorist attack, a Russian court also sent a man born in Kyrgyzstan to pretrial detention. The remaining seven suspects are Tajiks, four of whom were said to have carried out the attack directly. The accused Kyrgyz was supposed to provide them with accommodation. Videos and photos of the accused show clear signs of torture, but the Kremlin refuses to comment on the matter.

An Islamic State affiliate has already claimed responsibility for the attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall, but has not identified any of the perpetrators. The massacre left 139 dead and 182 injured. The Kremlin continues to accuse Ukraine and Western officials of involvement in the terrorist attack.
