For many in Dubai, luxury is quite commonplace, so local hoteliers have to compete in the most interesting luxury experiences. So at the beginning of the year, the local scene grew with another place where people who have it can get pampered. In addition, the two One Za’abeel skyscrapers have two “most” to their credit.

For the first “best”, the architectural work earned an entry in the Guinness Book of Records for the longest construction in the form of a console or beam, suspended from only one side. The cantilever section extends 67 meters beyond the second skyscraper.

The cantilever measures a total of 230 meters and incorporates an “infinity” pool that is 120 meters long, making it the longest pool of its type in the UAE, making it the second “most.”

The entire building is the work of the Japanese architectural firm Nikken Sekkei. The company’s chief architect, Koko Nakamura, said the goal was to create an elegant building that would represent the spirit of Dubai while also being a kind of gateway to the city.

But the main attraction of the entire complex is the swimming pool, for which you have to take the elevator to the 27th floor. You will be greeted by a luxurious environment in the hotel lobby, a designer restaurant on the terrace, and a little further white leather loungers with striped towels and, last but not least, smiling employees who are ready to fulfill your every wish – that is, if you have it.

The entrance itself, which of course must be booked in advance, but is not so expensive by Dubai standards. From Monday to Thursday, the entrance fee is 250 Emirati dirhams, i.e. about 1,650 crowns, and from Friday to Sunday it is 300 Emirati dirhams, which translates to approximately 1,980 crowns. However, there is one limitation. Only people over the age of 21 are allowed in the pool. Crying children and angry teenagers simply don’t fit into an environment where you should relax pleasantly.

At the pool bar, you can have a drink or a fresh coconut and enjoy the view of the Dubai skyline, which is right in the palm of your hand. Every time you get out of the pool, a person comes with a mop and dries your wet footprints. There is a lifeguard with a red float by the water in case someone is unwell.

Everything has to be perfect. In this environment, you will feel like you are in a luxury resort, which somehow floats 100 meters above the ground. One has the feeling that one is floating in the clouds and at the same time one can try to calculate how many skyscrapers Dubai actually has.
