The President of Ukraine said that his country should continue working on the preparations for the peace summit in Switzerland, which, according to him, has “the potential to start the path to a just peace.” A conference to be hosted by the Swiss government in June – and in which Russia made it clear that it would not participate – according to Zelensky, he should force Russia to stop the war with the help of global pressure.
“The world is capable of stopping any aggressor. If the world works together and according to the rules of the global majority, no aggression will be able to withstand such global pressure,” he says. It is said that efforts are being made to ensure that as many leaders and countries as possible participate in the summit. “This is a fundamental matter,” added the Ukrainian president.
He believes that a peace summit even without the presence of Russia could be meaningful. “Together we must force Russia to make peace. We have a lot of work ahead of us in the coming weeks, including working behind closed doors with partners to ensure that the summit is truly meaningful,” he posted.

Ukrainian President Zelensky also said in his message on social networks that he is preparing seven new security documents for his country, which include a security agreement with the United States. He said it was meant to be a “security architecture” for when Ukraine joins NATO.
“We fill the draft agreements with stronger options for Ukraine and for common security with our partners. It is clear that everything that provides greater protection against Russian terror has the highest priority,” the Ukrainian president said.
As in his speech on the twenty years of the Czech Republic in the European Union, Zelenskyj again reiterated that talks on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union could be launched as early as June this year.

“I believe in Europe. And I believe that the same conference will be held in our lifetime, but it will be dedicated to twenty years of Ukraine in the European community – twenty years of full membership in the EU,” Zelenskyy noted on Tuesday, hoping that Ukraine would see the same anniversary as the Czech Republic.
