Former White House chief Donald Trump’s pledge to fight what he calls “anti-white sentiment” in the US is likely to embolden his allies who are seeking to dismantle government and corporate programs designed to combat racism and promote diversity in American life.

Some prominent supporters of the former president, now the Republican presidential candidate in 2024, say policies protecting people of color in schools, workplaces and charities should be changed to protect the rights of whites as well, the agency wrote Reuters.

“I think there is a definite anti-white sentiment in this country,” Trump said in an interview with Time magazine published Tuesday. “Honestly, I don’t think it would be very difficult to solve. But I think the laws are very unfair now.”

Trump did not specify examples of anti-white bias or policy prescriptions in the interview. But Trump’s campaign website is laying out several plans and some of his allies are making detailed recommendations should Trump retake the White House from Democrat Joe Biden in the Nov. 5 election.

One of Trump’s proposals would reverse Biden’s executive order requiring federal agencies to assess whether underserved communities — including people of color, Americans, LGBTQ and rural Americans — have adequate access to their programs.

At campaign rallies, Trump promises to defund schools that teach controversial racial theory.

Trump’s election campaign raised more than $76 million in April, campaign officials told donors Saturday. Trump advisers disclosed the figure, which rose from $65.6 million in March, during a presentation at a private Trump campaign and donor gathering hosted by the Republican National Committee, said a person familiar with the discussion who spoke on condition of anonymity to speak freely. server Politics.

The campaign did not provide additional details about the fundraising, which will be released in documents later this month.

Trump is expected to hold fundraising events in Kentucky, New York, Nevada, Houston and Dallas in the coming weeks.
